For Ksenia Krylova, the years she has spent earning her Ph.D. have been largely worry free, at least when it comes to money.
As a doctoral student at the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer
College of Business, she receives $33,000 a year in stipend support. The
assistance, which also includes a free laptop while she’s in the
program, has helped her to focus on her coursework and dissertation. She
is set to complete her program in the summer after five years and has a
job offer for a tenure-track position at a university in Paris.
"We’re provided the environment and the equipment necessary to go through our program without any burdens," says Ms. Krylova.
