Police Officer Who Arrested English Professor at Arizona State Resigns

The Arizona State University police officer who wrestled an assistant English professor to the ground and arrested her last year has resigned after a university review found he was at fault, The Arizona Republic reports.
In May, Stewart Ferrin stopped the professor, Ersula Ore, for jaywalking and then forced her to the ground when she refused to show identification. Ms. Ore pleaded guilty to one count of resisting arrest, and dashcam video of the incident went viral:
