David B. Borofsky resigned
abruptly on Wednesday as president of Dakota State University, in
Madison, S.D., acknowledging that some changes during his tenure had
been “controversial and unpopular,” the Argus Leader reported.
Mr. Borofsky was chosen in October 2012 to be Dakota State’s
president, after serving as the university’s interim leader for eight
months. This summer, some students and alumni questioned the
circumstances surrounding the resignation of the dean and associate dean
of Dakota State’s College of Business and Information Systems, alleging
that they had been forced out.
